As you may or may not know on December 1st the first set of beta invites went out for the English version of Shin Megami Tensei IMAGINE, which is the Shin Megami Tensei MMO. I was lucky enough to get in with the first set of invites and have played it enough to give my first impressions on it, so onward!

Shin Megami Tensei IMAGINE – First Impressions
Thursday, December 4th, 2008Emerald Dragon: If Ys was turned based
Tuesday, November 4th, 2008This draft has been sitting here for awhile, because honestly I don’t know how to go about this post. I like to think I know about old video games, and this one I had no clue about until a friend was talking about it and I found it interesting so I checked it what. I was honestly surprised when I played this, because it is one awesome RPG, and that is not something I say about RPGs often.
Now I suppose before we go into this I feel I need to touch on what I think about RPGs. Don’t get me wrong I like RPGs, it is just I don’t get though to many, those games have to be very good to get me to play for quite sometime, and this RPG happened to be one of them.

Decap Attack: A horror game that didn’t start out as one
Friday, October 24th, 2008When horror month started we took a look at the lighter side of horror with the SNES/Genesis classic Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Then we went into the more mature side with Clock Tower and Perfect Blue. So I’m going to take it back to the lighter side with the little known game Decap Attack. The game didn’t even start off as a horror game either, so how did this happen? Find out after the more thing (oh yes thats right I just built suspense).
Clock Tower: SNES Surivial Horror, randomly awesome
Friday, October 17th, 2008All right here we are with the second post of Horror Month. A few days ago I took on the lighter side of horror, but today it is going to be the darker side of it. Believe it or not 16-bit games can still be creepy; it is not just flashy graphics that make a game scare. Nor is it spring loaded monsters (though a lot of games seem to think so). Horror is all about suspense, unease, knowing that the unknown is there, but cannot do anything about it, and so on. Clock Tower for the SNES may not be the scariest of games, but it still is a solid horror game.
Zombies Ate My Neighbors: In a time where a water gun was a good idea
Tuesday, October 14th, 2008So, what better way to start the blog off right than doing a theme for the month. Yes, that is right I am going to start things off with a horror theme for the rest of the month. Now, while we’re on this topic too, I will talk just a little bit about the schedule I want to take for posting. For right now, I plan to do 2 posts a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. This of course is subject to change, but as of now this is how it is. So that about leaves 6 posts for the rest of the month in which I will keep it even and do 3 Video Game posts and 3 Anime ones.
So to start this off, I will talk about one of my favorite games, so much so I even put a picture of it in the intro post. Yep, I’m going to start it off right with Zombies Ate My Neighbors!
